If you meet the requirements listed below, please call or e-mail with your account information
you must be 55 or older
you must live in Denver, Adams, Jefferson or Broomfield County
you must be approved for LEAP (if eligible, Nov-Apr)
you must have a past due Xcel balance of $100 or more
How it can help a client:
helps clients catch up on Xcel bills during times of hardship (unemployment, illness, etc)
OR
if utility costs are more than a client can afford it gives them time to find solutions such as weatherizing, home sharing or finding an affordable living arrangement.
A utility account can be eligible for assistance with EOC funds once per year. The EOC program year runs from Oct-Sep.
