Help make a Difference by uplifting seniors in your Community!

The Senior Assistance Center welcomes individuals wishing to volunteer their time and skills to help the senior community. We have many opportunities for volunteering, including administrative duties, food bank assistance, event planning, general office duties, friendly visitor program, and fundraising.  More than 500 people volunteer for us each year and make the difference in the lives of thousands of seniors.  Find out how to become our partner.

•Friendly Visitor Program – The Senior Assistance Center is looking for volunteers to engage social activity in a seniors life. Many seniors are isolated living all alone at home and would gladly like to have a person to talk with, share hobbies, shopping, reading, walking, or just a simple phone call to check on a senior’s well-being.

•Food Bank Assistance – work with the distribution of food for our mobile food bank and our on-site food bank. Sorting, stocking, packing, organizing, and transporting food to seniors in low-income housing developments Monday through Thursday.

•Event Planning – work on planning, development, monitoring, and implementation of creating a special event to increase awareness and promote fundraising for the organization.

•General Office Duties – assisting with our daily mail activity i.e. sorting, stuffing, sealing. Clerical duties, general maintenance, and organization.
