Giving Opportunities – help support the SAC!
Senior Assistance Center is a nonprofit organization that depends on private donations for its financial viability. Long-term sources for program funding are ongoing. Funding is raised through corporate, foundation and individual donor solicitation. There are other opportunities for giving such as donations of needed items, in-kind services, volunteering and purchasing items from Amazon Smile.

Senior Assistance Center is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) allowing your gifts to be tax deductible as allowed by the law. Our Federal Identification Number is 74-2270678.
We believe that PHILANTHROPY is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life.
Donation Items Currently Accepted
Senior Assistance Center is always in need of items for their senior clients. In-kind or non-cash donations help Senior Assistance Center to focus our funds on providing services to seniors in need. Here is our current wish list. We ask that donations be new or like new and clean.

for clothing bank:

Men’s & Women’s:
• heated throws (new only)
- socks (new only)
- underwear (new only)
- jeans / pants
- shirts / hoodies
- gloves / hats / scarves
- shoes / boots
for Emergency Supplies:
-reusable grocery or shopping bags are always needed-
• natural nut butters, packaged or canned meat & fish
• salad dressing, mayonnaise
• cleaning supplies: small packets of cleaning wipes, laundry detergent, bleach
• toiletry items: soap, toothbrush-toothpaste, floss, shampoo-conditioner, razors-shaving cream
• sugar-free protein drinks
Keep in mind when donating emergency supplies that those in need of them often don’t have the ability to carry, transport, and store heavy or larger items. Small and lightweight containers of items are better.
More and more clients are diabetic and need high protein foods without sugars and carbohydrates.

- paper products: toilet paper, paper towels, wet wipes
The Senior Assistance Center depends on generous donations from private citizens, businesses, and corporations to continue its mission. Not all these contributions that keep us running are cold, hard cash. “In-kind services” refers to contributions of services that are of value to the SAC as a nonprofit organization. Below is our list of needs:
- cleaning, janitorial services • snow removal (professional, insured)
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing – building consulting, maintenance
- window replacement, flooring replacement • painting
- IT-phone-web consulting-assistance, database management assistance

Durable Medical Equipment
We accept donations of Durable Medical Equipment for our loan program. Wheelchairs, rollator walkers, shower chairs, transfer benches, commode risers, etc that are in good condition and clean can help seniors in need of these items.
We do not need standard walkers. We do not accept motorized, electric or electronic medical items.
